About Us
Saint Philip Preschool was founded in 2005 at the request of the Members of Saint Philip Parish. Parishioners with young children wanted a local Catholic preschool with ties to Saint Philip Elementary School. Pastor Tony LaTorre spearheaded the drive to establish the school and insure its excellence. Founding Director Hope Peterson designed and furnished the old Parish Hall with a wonderful variety of early childhood materials. A yard was carved out of the outdoor area, including a trike area, a sandbox and outdoor picnic area. The preschool was immediately popular not only with the Parish but with the many young families living in the neighborhood.
Saint Philip Preschool has since evolved during into a community of families from the Parish and the neighborhood. Excellent teaching and an abundance of play materials combine to produce a warm and stimulating environment. Current Director Rachel Williams brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to community building.
