The Philosophy of Saint Philip Preschool is based on a set of strongly held beliefs: We provide a physical environment that is safe, clean, healthy, and oriented to children. Our school is arranged to offer challenging play and learning choices at a range of developmental levels. Activities, and centers allow the opportunity to explore, to experience, and, most important, to succeed.

The strength of our programs is the dedication of our Director along with the teaching staff. The teaching staff is trained, has resources, and freedom to create a unique learning experience for children. Our preschool provides opportunities for teachers to share ideas and grow professionally. Our teachers create a caring and nurturing atmosphere and foster a child's creativity and positive self.

Our positive methods of discipline establish consistent, image age-appropriate limits to help children function in their world. Our programs are designed to develop in children a sense of independence and responsibility. We desire to strengthen each child's own cultural identity, while instilling a respect for others who might be different.

Parents are the most significant adults in a child's life. We strive to create mutual respect between parents and teachers: a partnership for the benefit of the child. We encourage daily communication between parents and center staff. Our doors are open to parents at all times.

Our preschool is a part of the Saint Philip the Apostle Catholic Church which is owned and operated by the Roman Catholic Archbishop of San Francisco, a Corporation Sole. The Corporation Sole is a non-profit religious corporation. Our Preschool is under the leadership of the Pastor of Saint Philip's Church. It is a Church and community that values people: the children, their parents, and staff. We continually work to earn the trust placed in us. We work each day to be the best providers of early childhood education in this community.
